Nazeer
Nazeer (Mansour × Bint Samiha) · Historic image supplied to the Aletaq archive

A grey Egyptian Arabian stallion foaled on 9 August 1934 by Mansour out of Bint Samiha. His stature was not built on a single show title but on an exceptional ability to transmit Egyptian type through sons and daughters that entered breeding programmes worldwide. After being underused early in life, he returned to Egypt’s state breeding programme at a comparatively advanced age and became one of the central genetic forces in modern Egyptian Arabian breeding.

Record and achievements

#Achievement and record
1Foaled within Egypt’s state breeding programme by Mansour out of Bint Samiha, combining the Saklawi sire line with maternal depth through Kazmeen and Samiha.
2Returned to the Egyptian Agricultural Organization’s breeding programme after his value was recognised at about seventeen years of age, beginning a late but exceptionally influential stud career.
3Sired Aswan, transferred to Tersk in 1963 and pivotal to Russian Arabian breeding, with the line extending through Patron and Padron.
4Sired Morafic, one of the most important Egyptian stallions to carry this influence into North American breeding and show programmes.
5Other internationally important sons include Ansata Ibn Halima and Hadban Enzahi, two major routes for Egyptian blood outside Egypt.
6Arabian Essence lists 54 offspring in its database, while a specialist Sheykh Obeyd source records 70 foals within that population alone; the figures reflect different registry scopes rather than a simple contradiction.
7His breeding value lay in consistently transmitting an expressive head, large eye and unmistakable Arabian presence across generations and breeding environments.
