Nazeer

A grey Egyptian Arabian stallion foaled on 9 August 1934 by Mansour out of Bint Samiha. His stature was not built on a single show title but on an exceptional ability to transmit Egyptian type through sons and daughters that entered breeding programmes worldwide. After being underused early in life, he returned to Egypt’s state breeding programme at a comparatively advanced age and became one of the central genetic forces in modern Egyptian Arabian breeding.

  • Returned to the Egyptian Agricultural Organization’s breeding programme after his value was recognised at about seventeen years of age, beginning a late but exceptionally influential stud career.
  • Sired Aswan, transferred to Tersk in 1963 and pivotal to Russian Arabian breeding, with the line extending through Patron and Padron.
  • Sired Morafic, one of the most important Egyptian stallions to carry this influence into North American breeding and show programmes.
